  50 years is more than half life and if this happen to be one’s formative years - they become significant part of our life . Lest Alzaimer sets in and take away some of my neurons - let me pen some the memories associated with people & events in Artek that has shaped me . M AA has entered Indo Chinese restaurant looking for table. Restaurant was quite spacious. We were on second floor, While Manager asks us to wait for table to be ready, i look around and see the man sitting on sofa. His oily curly hair stuck neatly behind on his wiry body wearing black shirt & trouser arouse my attention. I stride towards him to strike conversation but get interrupted by manager who says now table is ready. As we pass this man, i saw a big corp group has come and occupied round table, their boss round chubby faced blad man picks up his place while his assistant start directing everyone in group assigning their place. After dinner, i decide to split- they go for shopping while i roam around the place and we decide to meet at 830pm over dinner. Delhi Haridwar 6 lane highway , Delhi Mumbai Transport Corridor , Vande Bharat trains and small town airports are visible signs of massive strides india is making . Delhi Metro is most widespread than of any cities . Airports are the finest in the world .  Local Indian restaurants have the same flair and innovativeness as Starbucks , Mac . Cleanliness and being in queue is now accepted and emerging culture.  Digital penetration is deep right upto illiterate & unauthorised fruit seller and veg vendor on street . EV vehicle , scooters , Uber / Ola / Zomato / Swiggy with IPL , ISL reflect radical consumer preferences .  Roads , Apartments , Airports  are going boom boom with opportunity to travel...

Kolkata : march 21st : Hyatt to Kolkata Airport ……. I meet grown up Suru from LION . Not in Australia but in Kolkata . His name is Suru Yadav . He come from Madhubani - a place in bihar - not very far from Janakpur - known for the Sita of Ramayana .  At the age of 12 , he was beaten by his school teacher for not paying his school fees. This was after his father - village farmer expressed his helplessness of paying school fees . He still remembers being beaten black and blue by cane stick made from Date tree . With his body bruised and in pain , he decided then & there only ' no more school , ‘no more home ‘ and ‘no more madhubani ' . Young Suru learnt two guys from his village leaving for Kolkata and decide to leave his books at the railway station and hop into the train without letting anyone know about it . Bilateral Inguinal  Surgery ( Hernia) was scheduled at 5pm , Tuesday 27th Dec  :  I was taken around around 435pm from my room at Mount Elizabeth Hospital Novena . Carted in the wheel chair , I was put in the adjacent ward only to be told that my surgery be delayed as previous surgery was still going on . I was briefed on what I would expect when surgery begins ….my first realisation of my  fundamental human right  dawned upon me that people owe me that explanation because “ this body belong to me &  I am the owner of this Body “ ..   Around 6pm …. I was wheeled into OT . …  “ I am making you go to sleep “ … was the message by Anaesthetist as he pushed drug filled syringe  in my IV catheter . While he did that , couple of technicians were concurrently putting sensors on my body and explaining the purpose of them . Power of Net and Innovative Global Schooling : Akshta posted her photos at Tajmahal Hotel on her Instagram . She got response form one her group mate at New York Times project asking if this photo is from Taj Mumbai . It seems this guy was in mumbai as part of his school and he was to leave next today morning  after being in city over 2 months . Within next few hours , Akshta & Raphael meet over dinner .  Think Global school take their students to two months to every country and cover four countries in a year . This year he came from Botswana to Mumbai and now move to Seoul . They stay at hotel and in mumbai were staying at Executive Enclave in Bandra and going to Poddar international school at Santa Cruz . Their classes are separate from other school students and only utilize school facilities . They are batch of 30 students . 18 gals !!! It is sad to inform you that our classmate and one of my very good friends Nandu i.e. Nandkumar Anant Gaikwad has passed away. He had massive cardiac arrest. He was in Sydney, Australia since long and was settled there. He has two daughters and wife after him. His parental house is in MIG (Rustomji..
