Anko Puran Poli
In India it is known as Puran Poli (पुरण पोळी) in Marathi, Boli (Malayalam/Tamil), Bobbatlu (Telugu), Holige (ಹೋಳಿಗೆ), Obbattu (ಒಬ್ಬಟ್ಟು) in Kannada, Ubbatti, or simply, Poli.
Anko also known adzuki Red bean paste or red bean jam, also called adzuki bean paste paste used in South East Asian cuisine. I married this with Indian dish made during Holi in Mumbai .
I attempted Anko Puran Poli.
Flat Roti of Wheat , maida and Rice in 1:2:1 proportion with condensed milk with Filling of paste of Kidney Beans ( राजमा) , Gram flour (बेसन) softened with milk and ghee, mixed with melted Jaggery , sugar with mix of Cardamom , saffron , Calumpang nuts ( चारोळी ).
It didn’t turn out not all that bad !! (Isn’t this sentence confusing !! ) . Well in short it came out well !!!!!
